A variety of trails wind through vineyards, gorges and apple orchards to magnificent viewpoints, all beginning right outside our Rebenheim bed and breakfast. Whether you're a leisurely hiker, a family or an active holidaymaker or mountaineer, you will find your very own favourite route around Tramin.


Gewürztraminer Trail

Ideal for arriving, relaxing, and experiencing the wine landscape

An easy, enjoyable themed trail that leads through the picturesque vineyards around Tramin – the home of the famous Gewürztraminer. The trail can also be extended towards Kurtatsch.

Nature Trail to Lake Kaltern

A perfect combination of exercise and swimming fun at the destination!

This easy hiking trail connects Tramin with Lake Kaltern – through forests, orchards, and vineyards, accompanied by educational nature stations. An extension to Lake Kaltern is easily possible.

Family Trail from Kastelaz to Kurtatsch

Ideal for a relaxing day of hiking with the whole family.

A leisurely family hiking trail (approx. 1.5 hours) with gentle climbs, magnificent views, and a child-friendly route along the vineyards. Through the village center, past the beehive, it leads up to the Kastelaz Trail with great play stations and fun and games for the whole family.

Höllental Geopath

A moderately difficult adventure trail with geological highlights, information boards, an impressive rock backdrop, and exceptional views – a trip back to the prehistoric times of the Dolomites.

Apple Trail to Kurtatsch

Particularly attractive during the apple blossoms in spring or the harvest in autumn.

An easy hiking trail through blooming or fruit-bearing apple orchards with beautiful views and opportunities for refreshments. Surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards, you reach Kurtatsch.

Bletterbach Gorge with Dinosaur Trail

A real adventure for all ages!

A circular trail through the spectacular Bletterbach Gorge – South Tyrol's "Grand Canyon." The Bletterbach Gorge is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. Fossils, rock layers, and an exciting dinosaur trail await you.

Accessible by car in about 45 minutes, parking on site.

Mendel Pass to the Halbweg Hut/Roen

Ideal for an active day trip with mountain air and enjoyment.

Take the Mendelbahn cable car to the Mendel Pass (free with the guest card), and from there, the beautiful, shady climb to the Halbweg Hut begins. From here, you can reach the summit of our local mountain, Roen, or continue to the Überetsch Hut.

The valley station of the Mendelbahn cable car can be reached by public transport or car, with parking on site.

An impressive gorge hike with bridges, walkways, waterfalls, and historic chapels on the way from St. Josef am See to Altenburg near Kaltern.

Ice Holes in Eppan

The natural phenomenon on hot summer days

The ice holes are located near the Kaltern district of Oberplanitzing at 500m above sea level. Even on hot days, cold air flows from the rocks. In this protected part of the forest, the cool climate allows plants that are otherwise only found in higher regions to thrive.
